**This is Field Safety Consultant position is for multiple projects. Local candidates preferred.**

Function: 
The Field Safety Consultant inspects client work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. This position will work to create and enforce a culture of safety within Exceed Safety LLC and all of our clients workplaces. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. This position reports to the Director of Client Engagement and the assigned Subject Matter Expert/Project Manager.
 
Responsibilities:
  •  Provide support to all Exceed Safety LLC and client’s employees
  • Supervises field safety compliance by ensuring that Exceed Safety LLC and client’s employees are fulfilling labor safety policies
  • Conducts safety classes as well as new hire safety orientations.
  • Responsible for all county, state, and federal DOT compliance requirements.
  • Enhances job knowledge by participating in educational training sessions.
  • Inspect working conditions in manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, as well as Exceed Safety LLC and our client’s requirements.
  • Perform safety audits, job hazard analysis and incident investigations.
  • Advise and assist in the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safety programs are aligned with company and site goals.
  • Conduct/assist with the incident investigation process to ensure thorough investigations, provide resolutions, and issue reports.
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations

Preferred:
  • Prefer Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1 year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position; Technical writing a plus.
  • Must have OSHA 30 with 5 years experience
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate needs, be resourceful and use sound judgment and tact
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor jobsite settings. Environmental conditions will vary.
Physical Demands:
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, type, carry up to 40 lbs, pushing and bending. May be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined space. 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position. Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 80% of the time
